Aston Martin drive day at Millbrook

Team AV and members had a brilliant day at the incredible Millbrook Proving Ground as guests of AML.

After a light breakfast we all took turns to drive the new DB11, Vantage V12 and V8, Vanquish S and Rapide S.

This was no tame test drive though as we all took the infamous high speed bowl and joined the ‘no hands club’ hitting 100mph with no hands on the wheel before nailing the throttle up to around 140MPH.

Next it was the mile straight which saw speeds of 165mph being hit and after that it was time for the simply amazing Alpine Hill circuit, made famous when James Bond rolled the DBS.

After a sumptuous lunch we carried on with more of the same in the other cars. Everyone left with big smiles and a greater appreciation of the AML range of cars.

A brilliant day and many thanks to Aston Martin for their kind hospitality and a lot of fun!
